Andrea Godwin
Managing Attorney
No matter how careful or deliberate we are about the choices we make in our lives, inevitably there will be circumstances beyond our control that disrupt our best-laid plans. How we choose to cope with those changes can limit the impact they have. Refusing to allow hardship to control our happiness forces us to creatively use that situation to grow our character and build a better future. When it comes to changes that affect you and your family, we are here to help. I believe it’s my job to offer you those solutions that can help replace your pain with peace and to assure you that there is hope and you are not alone.
I know this because my life didn’t happen the way I had planned, either. I know the fear of the unknown that comes with divorce, the feelings of being overwhelmed and underequipped at being a single parent, and the financial adjustments those life changes can bring. But, I also know how refreshing and fulfilling it can be to have a second chance at re-designing your life. With me, you not only have someone who’s been where you are, you also have someone who has more than 20 years of experience learning the law and how to navigate the legal system. I am committed to educating and empowering my clients so that they can make smart decisions about how to approach their unique situation.
First, and foremost, I will listen to you. If you simply need advice as to how to work through the details of a co-parenting or property division plan because your relationship has ended amicably, I can help you negotiate that. If you need someone who will not be intimidated to stand up for you and demand what’s fair, I can be that advocate. And, if you need court intervention to deal with a bully or someone who is unwilling to be reasonable, I am a passionate and fearless trial attorney. Together, we can weather this storm in your life, and get you to the calm that comes afterward.
