Lindsey Scott

Law Clerk

Lindsey joined Collins Family Law & Elder group in 2023. She is based in the firm’s Columbia, South Carolina office. Lindsey currently serves as a Law Clerk, assisting Attorneys and Paralegals with client communication, document drafting, and legal research. Lindsey is a native of North Carolina and has lived in Columbia, South Carolina for three years.

Education & Experience

Lindsey graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina State University in December 2019 with a B.A. in Communication. While earning her undergraduate degree, she spent time working as a runner at a law firm in Raleigh, NC. Lindsey is currently enrolled as a Juris Doctor candidate at the University of South Carolina School of Law with plans to graduate in December 2023. While attending law school, Lindsey has been involved in the Student Bar Association, Women in Law, and the Peer Mentor Program. Additionally, Lindsey is a Richland County Probate Court and CASA guardian ad litem.

As a law student, Lindsey served as both a staff editor and student note editor for the Journal of Law and Education. She also received a CALI award in Discovery Drafting.

Personal Interests

In her spare time, Lindsey enjoys spending time with her husband, Dallas. Lindsey also enjoys traveling to new places, spending time with her family and friends, playing pickleball, drinking coffee, and reading Harry Potter. She is an active member in her local church.
