Biography
Katie is based in our Fort Mill, South Carolina office and supports attorneys Shayna Matheny, Monica Schuring, and Madison Woschkolup. She began her career as a Legal Assistant before quickly transitioning into a paralegal role and later joining Collins Family & Estate Law Group in 2019. Katie soon became a trusted resource on South Carolina procedure and a steady presence on her team—leading to her well-earned promotion to Senior Paralegal in 2025. She is known for her initiative, consistency, and natural ability to stay steps ahead in fast-paced casework. Her proactive presence makes her an invaluable part of the legal team and a trusted point of contact for both colleagues and clients.
Katie’s early experience as a Legal Assistant gave her a strong foundation in legal process and office coordination, which continues to enhance her efficiency and attention to detail as a Senior Paralegal. She holds a degree in Administrative Office Technology with a Specialization in Paralegal Studies and is also a South Carolina Notary Public. Katie has become a go-to resource for questions about South Carolina procedure and is valued across the firm for her organization, responsiveness, and willingness to lend a hand. Her ability to manage a high volume of responsibilities independently makes her a steadying presence on even the busiest legal teams.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and their two dogs. Her weekends often include disc golf, hiking, or kayaking along the Catawba River
