Carrie joined the office as a part-time assistant while she was a high school student. Carrie continued her service as an assistant and paralegal for many years, and earned her certificate as a North Carolina Certified Paralegal in 2007. Carrie, while working full-time, pursued her undergraduate degree from Pfeiffer University at Charlotte, obtaining her criminal justice degree in 2007. After twelve years of service, Carrie realized her desire to assist clients in pursuing their claims and understanding their options when faced with difficult decisions could only be solidified by taking her interest in the law and serving other to a new level. Carrie pursued her Juris Doctor degree from Charlotte School of Law, while maintaining an active role in the office.
Carrie is a member of the Union County Bar Association, North Carolina Bar Association, and the Family Law and Young Lawyer's Divisions of the NCBA. Carrie serves as a co-chair on the Domestic Issues Committee for the YLD division (2012-2013).
Carrie is also a member of the Monroe Rotary Club, and devotes time to the Union County Community Shelter, Red Cross, and other local non-profit organizations.
Carrie believes it is very important for clients facing legal issues or concerns to understand fully that there are options available. When facing unknown situations with your family, she is dedicated to helping you understand the options available and counseling you through the most difficult times.
Carrie understands that the process of making life long decisions, during difficult times or expanding family decisions, through adoption or estate planning, can be time consuming and confusing for clients that have never endured the process previously. Carrie is focused on making certain that clients feel comfortable, informed, and prepared for each step of the process, whether it may be negotiations, mediation, planning, or litigation that you face.
Carrie is prepared to take the steps with you to reach a resolution regardless of which option you decide to choose.
